Our region within the Bordeaux vineyards is specialized in the production of white wines that are described as either ‘mellow’ or ‘sweet’, the latter being the wines of Barsac, Cérons, Cadillac, Côtes de Bordeaux Saint Macaire, Sainte Croix du Mont and Sauternes, and the former being wines of the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux.

Mellow or sweet? what is the difference?

Although both types of wine are delicious, the white wines described as ‘mellow’ are not quite as rich as the ‘sweet’ white wines. Perhaps ‘medium sweet’ would be useful for a good understanding of the difference.

As a consequence of their enhanced concentration and richness, the sweet white wines can be laid down and kept for a longer period.

Below you will find a selection of our delightful white wines, be they mellow or sweet, that will not leave you indifferent.

Be assured that you will make the right choice! At the same price as at the chateau, they are all excellent value and pleasure for money.
